Members of several UM-Dearborn student organizations have been working together for weeks to plan the annual Professional Development Week.
College of Business students from Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE), the American Marketing Association (AMA), the ITM Club, Beta Alpha Psi and Phi Chi Theta have developed a variety of events for UM-Dearborn students, alumni and community members kicking off on Monday, Jan. 31 at noon with a Hallway Fair in the Fairlane Center South Building.
Professional Development Week activities focus on job preparation, career selection and enhancing a candidate's professional worth with local business leaders teaching workshops and seminars. Highlights from the week include Speed Networking, Resume Writing and Interviewing Skills, an Ethics Speaker, a session on Entrepreneurship and a closing panel discussing the impact that young adults will play on the re-invention of Michigan's economy.
