“We are thrilled to have Carol in this new position, which will allow the university to develop a team-based approach to construction and renovation projects,” said Jeff Evans, vice chancellor for business affairs. “The facilities operations team will be able to work together to develop an integrated process for short and long-term planning, while also having the ability to benchmark and implement best practices of team-based models for efficiency and success.”
As a professional engineer, Glick brings extensive experience in facilities and operations management, including the preparation and management of multimillion-dollar budgets, extensive energy management experience and leadership roles in facilities operations, planning, construction and environmental safety.
Most recently, she served Providence Park Hospital, Novi, Mich., as the director of facilities support services overseeing facilities operations, emergency management, safety and grounds. Prior to that, Glick spent 11 years with DTE Energy, Detroit, most recently as the director of applications engineering and project management. She also spent time in facilities management for F&M Distributors, Warren, Mich.
Carol received a Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree from the University of Michigan and is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in administration from Central Michigan University.
