UM-Dearborn's Information Technology Management Club, which is a student chapter of the Association for Information Systems (AIS) was recently recognized as one of the nation's most distinguished.

AIS, the premier association for information systems, selected UM-Dearborn's College of Business chapter for this honor based on its performance in a number of key areas including professional development, membership, careers in information systems, community service, fundraising and communications.

"This award is an exceptional honor for our chapter," said Lise Urbaczewski, lecturer, management studies and AIS faculty advisor. "To be recognized along with some of the nations leading business schools by this international organization speaks to the strength of the UM-Dearborn chapter."

Joey George, AIS president, said "We are very proud of the recipients of 2010 AIS student awards. These chapters represent the reason we started the student chapter initiative-to support IS students, both current and prospective, in attaining their career goals and furthering the profession as a whole."
