Total undergraduate enrollment now is 7,374 students, up about half a percent from last year. Graduate enrollment grew by nearly 9 percent to 1,819 students.

- Academic achievement remained strong among the incoming freshman class
Enrollment includes a freshman class of 965 students. The class enters with an average high school GPA of 3.61 and average ACT score of 24.4, higher than the incoming classes of three of the university’s closest regional competitors. - Growth in CECS and COB programs
Both the College of Engineering and Computer Science and College of Business saw double-digit percentage growth in 2014. CECS enrollment is up 14.8 percent to 2,410 students. COB enrollment is up 11.5 percent to 1,705. - New student applications are up
Applications were up 3.6 percent to 5,084, an all-time high for the university. This included triple-digit percentage growth in applications from outlying areas including Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo.
“UM-Dearborn continues to offer students strong academic programs in an inclusive environment,” said Stanley E. Henderson, vice chancellor for enrollment management and student life. “This is a positive foundation to build on as the university introduces new programs to serve the needs of our students and the region, particularly in our new College of Education, Health, and Human Services.”
