Discover how to build and sustain an innovative culture and climate in your daily work.
And learn how to encourage employee growth and development.
These are just few reasons why UM-Dearborn alumni plan to attend the “Career 360” alumni networking event Feb. 16 at Fairlane Center.
The event offers an opportunity for alumni to network with small business owners, government officials, entrepreneurs and leaders of nonprofit organizations and discuss innovation.
“Having a culture of innovation is critical for any organization,” said Tim Davis, director of iLabs, UM-Dearborn’s Center for Innovation Research. “Innovation is more than widgets and products – it is an attitude that catalyzes change and facilitates adaptation.”
Davis is one of six alumni business leaders selected to participate in the event. Others include: Todd Anson, managing director and cofounder of Common Bond Capital Partners, LLC; Maggie Bayless, managing partner at Zingerman’s Training, Inc.; Amy Cell, senior vice president of talent enhancement and workforce development at Michigan Economic Development Corporation; Merrill Guerra, executive director of Michigan Venture Capital Association; and Ken Nisbet, executive director of U-M Tech Transfer.
The event kicks off at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 16 in the Michigan East/West Room with registration and networking. An alumni business leader dedication ceremony and panel discussion will follow, with a light dinner and round table discussion to wrap up the night.
Tickets cost $15 for U-M Alumni Association members and $30 for non-members. For more information and to register, click here.
