Mary Trepanier-Street, professor in the School of Education, received $81,600 continuation funding from the Wayne County Regional Education Services Agency and the State of Michigan Department of Education to support the 2011-2012 Great Start Readiness Program and the Early Childhood Education Center.
Hong Tae Kang, assistant professor of mechanical engineering, received a $50,000 grant from General Motors Corporation. He will be testing the fatigue properties of spot welded joints for aluminum alloys.
Andrea Olive, assistant professor of political science, and Stephen Brooks, lecturer of political science, collaborated on a $10,759 award from the Canadian Embassy to support the 2011-2012 Ottawa Political Science Internship Program.
