Know a professor who goes above and beyond the call of duty to enhance their students’ learning experience? How about a staff member who often stays late in order to get the job done before deadline?
UM-Dearborn faculty, staff and students now have an opportunity to recognize those outstanding members of the campus community through this year’s Distinguished Teaching and Service awards.
The Distinguished Service Award honors those who apply their expertise to benefit the public good and whose work enhances the quality of campus life and visibility/reputation of UM-Dearborn.
The Distinguished Teaching Award honors outstanding achievement in teaching, including evidence of effectiveness in the classroom and of the revitalization of courses and curriculum. For the Distinguished Teaching Award, there are three nomination categories – Tenured, Non-Tenured Tenure Track and Lecturers.
All nominations must be delivered to Christian McDavid in the Provost’s Office, Room 1080 in the Administration Building, by Feb. 13. The awards will be presented at the annual Honor Scholars and Faculty Awards Dinner in March. Award winners will receive $3,000.
