One day with Lauron Sanders

Lauron Sanders didn't plan to play basketball at University of Michigan-Dearborn—in fact, she had only played the sport for two years in high school. But when the business student realized she could play basketball while working and continuing her studies, she decided to join the team as a walk-on athlete.

"Basketball has become one of my passions. I love being part of a team and giving my absolute best every day," she said. "Joining UM-Dearborn’s basketball team was the best decision I’ve made!"

We followed Sanders around campus Thursday, November 17, to take a peek inside the life of a UM-Dearborn student-athlete.
