The July Board of Regents meeting included the approval of the University Center name change, the 2024-25 academic calendar, personnel actions and campus updates. The meeting took place in St. Ignace, Michigan.

Chancellor Domenico Grasso provided the following updates at the public July 21 meeting:

Reappointments of regular instructional staff and selected academic and administrative staff.

Suzanne L. Bergeron, Helen Mataya Graves Collegiate Professor, CASL, effective September 1, 2022 through April 30, 2023 (also professor of women’s studies, with tenure, and professor of social sciences, with tenure).

Stein Brunvand, associate dean, CEHHS, effective July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2027 (also professor of education, with tenure).

Sven Morgan, chair, Department of Natural Sciences, CASL, effective July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2025 (also professor ofgeology, with tenure).

Lee S. Redding, interim associate dean, COB, effective September 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023 (also Chair, Department of Accounting and Finance, and Associate Professor of Business Economics, with tenure).
