The university’s fiscal year 2025 budget was approved.
Chancellor Domenico Grasso provided the following university updates:
- His participation in an American Association of State Colleges and University Conference panel discussion with Oakland University President Ora Pescovitz and Michigan State President Kevin Guskiewicz on topics related to the Israel-Hamas war and its impact on college campuses, DEI and talking about what drew the panelists to be university presidents
- Recent west coast alumni receptions with Vice Chancellor Casandra Ulbrich and College of Business Dean Frederic Brunel
- The campus’ continued efforts on healthy lifestyles including upcoming bike awareness and safety initiatives, promotion of our hiking/walking trails and the addition of pickleball courts behind the Fieldhouse
- Boasting that this past academic year saw 21 student athletes achieving a 4.0 GPA, up from just four the previous year
