Student leaders participate in SOLID conference

More than 150 UM-Dearborn student leaders participated in SOLID (Student Organization Leaders in Development) on Sat., Sept. 17. The daylong leadership conference sponsored by the Office of Student Activities featured presentations on a variety of topics including budgeting, program planning, leadership, civic engagement, and diversity and inclusion. Motivational speaker Pete Mockaitis presented the keynote address. SOLID was launched in 2010 and included 63 students that year. This year participants represented 75 student organizations with five student leaders presenting for their peers.
