The EIC has a long history of engaging with the broader community. The EIC building is open to the public Monday-Friday from 9-5pm and the Environmental Study Area is open from dawn to dusk. We welcome thousands of visitors each year to experience nature both inside and outside. In addition to environmental programs at the center (ranging from the Children's Garden Program, through the Young Naturalists Program, to the Michigan Master Naturalist program), our staff regularly participates in off-site programs and events at partnering organizations.
