Children's Garden Program
The Community Organic Garden at the EIC offers a gratifying hands-on experience for young gardeners to make friends, learn, and grow a variety of plants in their own garden plot.

Select Tuesdays at 6:00pm-7:30pm end of May through August. See form registration below for specific dates.
Children and an accompanying adult are invited to join other families in the enriching experience of growing food together. Accompany UM-Dearborn student interpreters to learn gardening tips and techniques as you maintain, grow, and harvest a variety of vegetables. Students will be responsible for planting, weeding, watering and feeding their very own garden plot!
We’ll also have fun exploring soil, worms, composting, garden creatures, and pollination at the beautiful and interesting Community Organic Garden on the UM-Dearborn campus.
Program Requirements:
1. One adult chaperone must attend each session with the registered child.
2. This program is for children 6-9 years of age.
3. The gardeners meet on select Tuesday evenings from 6-7:30 pm.
4. There will be a $50 fee to cover gardening supplies. Pay on our eStore website.
