U.S. News & World Report, College of Business, Best Online MBA and Online Master’s Business Program, non-MBA

University of Michigan-Dearborn’s College of Business has one of the country’s top online MBA programs. COB’s online MBA program is No. 1 the state, according to 2021 rankings by U.S. News & World Report.

Nearly 250 students are currently enrolled in UM-Dearborn’s online MBA program, which is fully accredited by AACSB International and offers concentrations in finance and international business. Only 5-percent of business schools worldwide have earned AACSB accreditation. U.S. News & World Report surveyed 324 online MBA programs this year and based its online graduate programs rankings on statistical data provided by the participating institutions and peer assessment.

There’s also a top-ranked program for those looking to earn a graduate degree in business outside of the MBA program: The online Master of Science in Finance took second place among Michigan's non-MBA business programs. Also of note: Echoing UM-Dearborn’s distinction as a gold-level Veteran Friendly School, campus' online MBA program is on the “Best Online Program for Veterans” list. Poets&Quants, College of Business, Best Undergraduate Business School

UM-Dearborn’s College of Business’s undergraduate programs are among the best in the nation, according to Poets&Quants, a leading online publication for business education news. In a comprehensive assessment of undergraduate business programs, the publication ranked UM-Dearborn ahead of schools like The Ohio State University, Iowa State and George Washington University. COB’s program ranked 67th in the country, two places higher than last year in the list headed by Wharton and Ross business schools.

The publication compiled the 2021 rankings based on a representative survey of alumni and an extensive set of school-reported data like admission standards, academic experience and career outcomes. The Poets&Quants ranking methodology is unique because it’s developed in collaboration with business school deans and administrators. Combined, the ranked schools in this report represent the top 12% of more than 840 business schools accredited by AACSB International, the main accrediting body for business education.
