The publication received the award at the National College Media Convention/Associated Collegiate Press in Chicago on November 4.  A full list of winners can be found on http://studentpress.org/acp/winners/f12bs.html.

The Michigan Journal staff members say they have one goal in mind: Deliver the news and be the voice for the UM-Dearborn community.

Sarah Lewis, editor-in-chief, and Elizabeth Bastian, managing editor, have led the Michigan Journal's editorial staff to improve the deliverance of news on campus.

"Our webmaster, Troy A. Blevins, has worked to make a beautiful design for the website. Our entire staff, from editors to writers, has made the publication have a brilliant online presence, and I'm so thankful for all the hard work that has been put into this year so far. I'm so honored to say that we are an award-winning publication, and I can't wait to work even harder the rest of the year to further improve the Michigan Journal," Lewis said.
