Congratulations!

Aaron Ahuvia’s paper, Brand Love, was a runner up for Journal of Marketing’s Harold H. Maynard Best Paper Award. Ahuvia, professor of marketing, co-authored the paper with U-M Ann Arbor faculty Rajeev Batra and Richard P. Bagozzi.

Grant MacKenzie, head coach of UM-Dearborn’s Wrestling Club, won a full scholarship (valued at $7,500) to the National Wrestling Coaches Association's Leadership Academy in Edwardsville, Ill. MacKenzie was one of 30 collegiate wrestling coaches in the nation to attend the Leadership Academy, May 21-23.

Cyndi McAuliffe, kindergarten teacher at the Early Childhood Education Center, was nominated for the 2013 Alberta Muirhead Teacher of the Year Award, an award presented by the Dearborn Area Chamber of Commerce to recognize excellence in teaching.

Michael New, assistant professor of political science, spoke at a policy forum at American Enterprise Institute about budget rules and fiscal limits on June 12.

Students Emily Bianchi, Jacquelyn Kennedy and Melissa McKinney, published an article, “Introducing Models in Lessons on Solids and Liquids,” in the Michigan Science Teachers Association Journal. The students conducted research for the article in Charlotte Otto’s EXPS 420 Senior Capstone. Otto, professor of chemistry, co-authored the article.
