Making of Modern Law: Foreign, Comparative and International Law, 1600-1926
This database contains historical legal materials covering the period from 1600-1926. Materials represented come mainly from Western European law, but they also include the legal writings of Scandinavia and former European territories such as Canada, Cuba, China, and India. The content is mostly in English, French and German, and it includes primarily treatises. Primary materials such as codes and collections of cases are also available.

It’s easy to see new e-books in topic areas that interest you in ebrary Academic Complete. Simply go to ebrary Academic Complete by clicking on the link above, or by selecting it from the Databases A-Z list on the Mardigian Library website. (You will need to authenticate if you are off campus.) Then select a topic area of interest such as Anthropology, Children’s Books, How-to, Business & Economics, etc. from the drop-down menu. Next click on “Date” on the right-hand side of the screen to sort book titles so that the newest titles appear at the top.

New World Cinema: Independent Features and Shorts includes 200 full-length feature films and 50 award-winning short films from leading independent distributors. Documentaries, comedies, and dramas are included. All films were presented at major film festivals and have won numerous awards. The database can be searched by director, actor, country of origin, award or genre. Film clips and playlists can be created, saved, and shared. Videos can be downloaded for a 48-hour period to an Apple iPhone or iPad or on an Android phone.

Locate in-depth information on U.S. and international businesses, industries, and products. Compare companies and industries using a comparison tool, generate lists of companies by industry or location, and obtain competitive intelligence, market share information, and product trends.
Art and Architecture in Video
This database includes video biographies, documentaries and interviews related to the history, theory and practice of art. It includes coverage of the Renaissance, Neoclassicism, Romanticism, Modern, and Contemporary Art. In addition to art history and theory, the collection addresses applied topics such as design, architecture and graphic design.
The March of Time
The March of Time includes videos from the unique and controversial Time, Inc. newsreel series that ran from 1935 to 1967. Videos in this collection are available for online streaming, and the collection is searchable by subjects, people, places, and historical events, making it a valuable resource for researchers, teaching faculty, and students. The newsreels have been restored by HBO Archives, allowing viewers to experience these historic newsreels as original audiences did.
