Campus appointments, gifts and the Winter 2021 academic calendar were discussed at the Sept. 17 U-M Board of Regents meeting.

These UM-Dearborn items were covered at the September 17 U-M Board of Regents meeting.

Chancellor Domenico Grasso shared information about the campus fall return to campus plan and new data dashboard, new U.S. News and World Report university rankings, College of Arts, Sciences, & Letters Professor Francine Dolin’s faculty scholarship and Tony England’s stepping down as College of Engineering & Computer Science dean.

At the meeting, the following personnel actions were approved:

Joint or additional appointments or transfers of regular associate or full professors and selected academic and administrative staff.

Maureen Linker, associate provost, Office of the Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, effective August 1, 2020 through June 30, 2023 (also professor of philosophy, with tenure, CASL). * Interim Approval Granted

Di Ma, interim associate dean for graduate education and research, CECS, effective September 1, 2020 (also associate professor of computer and information science, with tenure).

Brahim Medjahed, acting associate dean for undergraduate education, CECS, effective September 1, 2020 (also professor of computer and information science, with tenure, CECS, and associate dean for academic programs and initiatives, Horace H. Rackham School of Graduate Studies, University of Michigan-Ann Arbor).
