Kudos: Martin, Silver

Lisa Martin is serving as interim director of the university’s Women’s and Gender Studies program this semester. In this role, she will lead programming and events, as well as continue to prepare the program for an external review in the fall. Martin has served as assistant professor of women’s and gender studies & health policy studies at UM-Dearborn since 2011. She takes over as interim director for Suzanne Bergeron, who is on sabbatical.

 
Edward Silver, dean, SOE, has been named to the board of directors of the Association of Mathematics Teacher Educators (AMTE). With more than 1,000 members, AMTE is the largest professional organization dedicated to the advancement of mathematics teacher education. Silver will serve a three-year term.
