Campus grant proposals sought before Oct. 15 deadline

The proposal submission deadline for all campus grants is Oct. 15.

Proposal guidelines and application forms are available from the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs via e-mail request to [email protected] or by visiting Campus Grants

Awards will be made in the following categories:

Faculty Research Initiation and Seed Grant: The maximum award is $6,000. It is expected that 15 grants will be awarded in FY2010. This is limited to full-time faculty members and provides funding for research projects that are designed to lead to proposals for external funding.

Faculty Research Support and Maintenance: The maximum award is $6,000. It is expected that nine grants will be awarded in FY2010. This is limited to full-time faculty members and provides funding for research projects in disciplines where there is little chance for external funding.

Faculty Small Research Grant: This grant provides up to $800 to full-time faculty members for research and other scholarly activities.

Educational Enhancement Grant: The maximum award is $1,500. One grant is awarded annually. This grant enables faculty members to enhance the educational experiences of students through the development of new courses and curricula or the purchase of one-time course materials or equipment.

CASL Senior Faculty Scholarship Grant: The maximum award is $3,000. Two grants are awarded annually. This award is limited to full-time CASL faculty members who are working on either a manuscript or a major external grant proposal.
