UM-Dearborn continues making top U.S. News & World Report rankings lists, while also earning recognition for its veteran-friendly programs.
U.S. News again included UM-Dearborn in their lists that evaluated nearly 1,850 online programs in rankings released today — with two UM-Dearborn programs recognized for their veteran learning support. Criteria for veteran-based designations includes being GI Bill-certified and participating in the Yellow Ribbon Program. UM-Dearborn also is recognized as a Gold-Level Veteran-Friendly School by the State of Michigan’s Veteran-Friendly Schools Program — the highest level of recognition for institutions that support veterans, their dependents and all military-connected learners.
In the online MBA Programs for Veterans category, COB’s online MBA ranked second in Michigan and earned a No. 74 ranking nationally. The online MBA program itself also stands out — looking at academic quality, student engagement and faculty credentials, U.S. News ranked UM-Dearborn's online MBA second among the state’s universities and No. 127 overall in the nation. In addition, the College of Business’ online master’s in business programs (excluding MBA) ranked No. 2 among Michigan universities and No. 82 nationally.
UM-Dearborn’s online master’s programs in informational technology are ranked among the best in the country for veterans — it’s No. 21 nationally and it’s the only one in the state with that designation. The College of Engineering and Computer Science’s online information technology programs are ranked high too — they are No. 2 in Michigan and ranked 44th nationally. In addition, online master’s programs in the College of Engineering and Computer Science earned a No. 77 ranking overall, and No. 4 in the state.
