Domenico Grasso, Ph.D.

The Chancellor provides direction, leadership and vision for the University. The Chancellor is also UM-Dearborn’s primary representative to the Board of Regents, the Michigan legislature and the community at large and serves as an Executive Officer of the University of Michigan.

Gabriella Scarlatta

Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs 

Gabriella Scarlatta, Ph.D.

The Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs is responsible for administering the academic programs and policies and enrollment management functions of the Dearborn campus. This includes recruitment of faculty and deans, and oversight for the campus library system, natural areas, sponsored research, institutional research, arts programs, enrollment management, financial aid and registrar functions.

Keisha Blevins

Chief of Staff, Senior Advisor to the Chancellor and Chief Diversity Officer

Keisha Blevins, B.A., J.D.

The Chief of Staff works with faculty, staff, students and external audiences to help insure top university priorities and initiatives are realized. This role also serves as senior advisor and facilitator for strategic planning and projects.

Vice Chancellor for Business Affairs

The Vice Chancellor for Business Affairs is responsible for financial budget; facilities operations (which includes facilities planning, facilities management and environmental health and safety); human resources; and campus public safety departments.

Kenneth C. Kettenbeil

Vice Chancellor for External Relations

Kenneth C. Kettenbeil, B.A.

The Vice Chancellor for External Relations is responsible for university communications and marketing, including internal and external communications, website, advertising and branding. The office also represents the university in dialogues with federal, state and local governments, and presents the university's position on current and proposed legislation.

Carrie Shumaker

Director of Information Technology, Strategy and Operations and Chief Information Officer 

Carrie Shumaker, M.B.A

The Director of Information Technology, Strategy and Operations and Chief Information Officer is responsible for leading and managing a team of 30 ITS professionals as well as leading the development, implementation and administration of comprehensive IT strategies, policies and procedures that support the university mission and goals.

Casandra Ulbrich

Vice Chancellor for Institutional Advancement

Casandra Ulbrich, Ph.D. 

The Vice Chancellor for Institutional Advancement strengthens the institution through alumni engagement, fundraising and business engagement. Institutional Advancement supports the institutional vision by fostering philanthropy among our constituents and engaging our alumni and business partners in the life of the campus.
