Think you can design a better computer game than the stuff you’re playing? Adding a minor in game design to your major can give you the foundation you need for a future in computer gaming.
The minor has six required courses:
- Computer Science I
- Computer Science II
- Discrete Structures I
- Data Structure and Algorithm Analysis
- Software Engineering I
- Computer Game Design and Implementation
To complete the minor, you choose one course from three options:
- Computer Graphics
- Introduction to Artificial Intelligence
- Computer Game Design II
The game design minor is available to all undergraduate students at UM-Dearborn except those in the College of Engineering and Computer Science. CECS engineering students can pursue the minor with some restrictions.
