Create the Next Top-Rated Computer Game

Think you can design a better computer game than the stuff you’re playing? Adding a minor in game design to your major can give you the foundation you need for a future in computer gaming.

The minor has six required courses:

  • Computer Science I
  • Computer Science II
  • Discrete Structures I
  • Data Structure and Algorithm Analysis
  • Software Engineering I
  • Computer Game Design and Implementation

To complete the minor, you choose one course from three options:

  • Computer Graphics
  • Introduction to Artificial Intelligence
  • Computer Game Design II

The game design minor is available to all undergraduate students at UM-Dearborn except those in the College of Engineering and Computer Science. CECS engineering students can pursue the minor with some restrictions.
