Nature’s calendar has its own distinct rhythms and cycles, which don’t always fit perfectly into our formal 4-season calendar. Influenced by shifts in daylight length and seasonal weather, these distinct “microseasons” are marked by a short period of

unique changes in the natural world. Join EIC naturalist Rick Simek in a leisurely stroll to explore some of the characteristic natural occurrences taking place within the “Crisp Chill” microseason.
