Fall 2022 Public Nights at the Observatory!

Dates and times are:
  • September 9:  9:00-10:30 pm

  • September 23:  9:00-10:30 pm

  • October 14:  8:30-10:00 pm

  • October 28:  8:00-9:30 pm

  • November 11:  7:00-8:30 pm

Some important information:
  • Observing sessions require suitable sky conditions. To learn the status of any event, check the Observatory's website beginning one hour before the event. Inclement weather or other unforeseen adverse circumstances may cause the cancellation of a scheduled event.
  • Observing sessions are free and open to the public. All ages are welcome. 
  • Observing sessions are primarily held outdoors. Visitors should dress appropriately for personal comfort during their visit.
  • The Observatory is located on the main campus of the University of Michigan-Dearborn, in the Science Learning and Research Center (SLRC). Park in the parking lot behind the SLRC (Parking Lot A) and enter the building through the west door. Take the elevator to the third floor, and turn left to go through the double doors to the observing deck.
