Scope 3 Emissions Virtual Open House
The Scope 3 Emissions Project is nearing completion, and UM-Ann Arbor's Office of Campus Sustainability needs your input on the draft recommendations and potential focus areas!
Students, faculty, and staff are invited to an in-person or virtual town hall, where you will learn about the project’s findings, discuss how U-M can best implement the recommendations, and help prioritize strategies. These town halls build on an earlier phase of community engagement, where we gathered input on high-level Scope 3 priorities, ideas, and questions.
Scope 3 emissions are indirect greenhouse gas emissions created by activities like commuting, travel, purchasing, and waste disposal ♻️ Peer research shows that Scope 3 emissions can comprise roughly half of a university’s total emissions, so there is a growing impetus to address them.
