Faculty and Staff Distinction

Innovation and Research

At UM-Dearborn, we're committed to investing in our faculty and staff and ensuring that we do everything we can to recruit and retain top talent.

Our faculty and staff are, in turn, dedicated to the success of our students, who leave UM-Dearborn enriched and prepared for the 21st-century workforce. This is also the result of our 16:1 student-faculty ratio. Students get access to and learn from professors with whom they can create close, lasting relationships.

I was raised to pay things forward, and I believe it is important for me to try to provide the same types of opportunities to future students once I retire. The UM-Dearborn faculty and students are merely the caretakers of our campus, and we have an obligation to leave the university better than when we first arrived here.
