Announcing UM-Dearborn's most ambitious fundraising campaign ever: Look to Michigan (October 24, 2024)

Dear Colleagues,

For over 60 years, the University of Michigan-Dearborn has steadfastly believed that gaining knowledge, combined with critical thinking, and persuasive communication expands personal freedom, creates opportunities, and fosters the pursuit of happiness. Together, these abilities and habits of mind have the power to change the world.

To support and enhance these beliefs, I proudly announce the Look to Michigan campaign, our most ambitious fundraising initiative to date. This campaign will propel our strategic initiatives forward and unite our campus community around the following four campaign priorities:

  • Student Experience and Success
  • Faculty and Staff Distinction
  • Holistic Excellence
  • Economic Sustainability

The Look to Michigan campaign is about more than raising funds; it’s about creating a legacy of excellence and opportunity. It’s about ensuring every student who walks through our doors has the resources, support, and opportunities to succeed.

To learn more about the campaign, please visit our campaign website. Here, you'll find detailed information about our goals, events, and how you can get involved.

Additionally, please save the date for the Look to Michigan Gala Reception on May 1, 2025, at Michigan Central Station. More details will follow, but we hope to see you there as we celebrate this exciting journey together.

President Ono will also be communicating about the campaign in the coming days. There will be many events planned in Ann Arbor, Dearborn, Flint, and throughout the region.

This campaign launch is such an exciting time for UM-Dearborn, and I’m thrilled to have you on this journey with us. As we look forward to what’s next, let us Look to Michigan.

Go Blue! Go Dearborn!
