Alexandra Reeds
Biography and Education
As the Director of Development for the College of Business at the University of Michigan-Dearborn, Alex Reeds leads fundraising strategy and donor engagement to advance the College’s mission and priorities.
Alex returned to the University of Michigan after more than three years at Wayne State University’s Mike Ilitch School of Business, where she first served as the School's Associate Director of Philanthropy. During her tenure, she managed a portfolio of more than 120 alumni and friends primarily based on the West Coast, led principal gift strategy, oversaw the Dean's Board of Visitors, and partnered closely with leadership to advance strategic initiatives.
Her career in higher education fundraising began at the University of Michigan’s Office of University Development, where she supported the national major gifts team and helped coordinate Giving Blueday campaigns for the Office of Research. She later served at U-M’s Stamps School of Art & Design, leading donor stewardship and board development.
Alex earned her B.S. in Psychology from Ferris State University and is completing her MBA at Wayne State University. She is passionate about connecting alumni and community partners with meaningful opportunities to invest in student success, workforce readiness, and the future of Michigan business leaders.
