Angubeen Khan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health and Human Services at the University of Michigan, Dearborn. She received her MPH in Health Behavior and Health Education at the University of Michigan and Ph.D. in Community Health Sciences from the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health. She is also trained in population health and demography. Her primary areas of research include gender-based violence, sexual and reproductive health, and immigrant health and uses community-engaged and health equity approaches. Specifically, her research uses qualitative and quantitative approaches to investigate the role of sociocultural norms, migration context, and structural determinants on MENA and South Asian women's health. She has leveraged major population-level data sources in her research including the U.S. Census, the California Health Interview Survey, and the National Health Interview Survey.
