Biography and Education
Christopher (Chris) is the Director of Digital Education at the University of Michigan Dearborn (UM-Dearborn). In this role, Chris serves as the UM-Dearborn’s campus Canvas administrator, supports and oversees other digital education-related systems (EvaluationKit, Kaltura, Turnitin, etc) and works on online initiatives, such as outcomes and learning analytics, with faculty and staff. Chris earned a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Michigan-Dearborn in 2002. While working towards his degree, Chris began working with faculty at the UM-Dearborn School of Education to develop interactive online websites for some of UM-Dearborn's first completely online classes. Chris continued to work with faculty in the Special Education program on a part-time basis until 2010, when he was hired as a full-time consultant for the School of Education, and was then promoted to his current role in April 2014. In his spare time, Chris enjoys woodworking, doing home improvement work, and attending Detroit Tigers, Red Wings, and Lions games.
