Biography and Education

Gerald Ottenbreit Jr has worked at the Armenian Research Center since January of 1990. Alongside being the reference librarian and one of the cataloging librarians, he is also responsible for the administrative work of the ARC. He has also served as the Editorial Assistant to Dr. Dennis R. Papazian for volumes 6-11 of the Journal of the Society for Armenian Studies (JSAS), and Editorial Associate for volumes 13 to 19:1. His service to the Center was recognized at the reception organized to mark the 30th anniversary of the ARC on April 2, 2016.

Ottenbreit has a side business in publishing and selling books (Bookshelf Publishers). He has also run the Books & Media Booth at the Spring Fling Festival every May in Wyandotte since 2008, which as of 2021 is being transitioned into a September sale for the Pallottine African Missions. He is active in the Wyandotte Knights of Columbus and has been its Chancellor since 2018.
