Justin Recio

As the Director of Graduate Enrollment and Success at the College of Business, Justin Recio helps oversee the graduate admission and advising processes that support both prospective and current students in the College’s graduate programs. He also coordinates graduate recruitment efforts, working to connect students with opportunities that align with their goals.

Before stepping into this role, Justin served as a Graduate Admission Advisor at UM-Dearborn’s College of Business and as a Student Services Representative at the University of Kansas. These experiences shaped his commitment to student success and gave him a broad perspective on the needs of graduate learners.

What inspired him to work here?

Justin values the strong sense of community at the University of Michigan–Dearborn, both on campus and throughout the greater Dearborn area. He considers it a privilege to be part of that environment and to contribute to it through his work. What inspires him most is the opportunity to help graduate students navigate the challenges of graduate school while learning about their lives, goals, and motivations for pursuing a master’s degree. Supporting their journeys and celebrating their achievements is the most rewarding part of what he does.
