Teaching Areas:

Human-Centered Engineering Design, Prototyping and Product Development, Probability and Statistics, Introduction to Engineering, Engineering Economy and Decision Analysis. His areas of interest include invention methodologies, patent law, 3D printing, analytics, and artificial intelligence.

Education

Prof. Kasravi is a Clinical Professor in the Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering Department and the Director of EPIC at the University of Michigan-Dearborn. He has 30 years of industry experience in General Motors, Electronic Data Systems, and Hewlett-Packard at various capacities including Staff Engineer, Technical Fellow, and Vice President. He developed innovative solutions for diverse industries including automotive, manufacturing, defense, pharmaceuticals, and financial. He is a Certified Manufacturing Engineer and has degrees in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, and law. He has two GM Trade Secrets, a Smithsonian award for a GM project, and has been granted 32 patents.
