Biography and Education

Lise Urbaczewski teaches Information Systems Management courses in the College of Business at the University of Michigan – Dearborn. In addition, she has international teaching with having taught as a visiting faculty at the Helsinki School of Economics (now part of Aalto University)– Mikkeli Campus for over 10 years.  She has also been on the faculty and taught courses at Eastern Michigan University and Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business.  Classes taught include courses in:  Statistics, Business Mathematics, Programming Languages (C/C++, Java, COBOL), Project Management, Database Design and Management, and Management of Information Systems.  In addition to teaching, Lise is an independent consultant providing support in Information Systems Design and Implementation; course design and training; and Information Quality Assurance.  Prior to teaching, Lise was an MIS Program Manager for Lockheed- Martin at Oak Ridge National Laboratory [where she also held a Q (top-secret) clearance].  Lise has a Masters of Science in Information Systems and Bachelor degrees in Mathematics and Chemistry.  She currently resides in Canton, Michigan, with her two grown children when they are home from college.
