Lori Ormsby

Lori has been a familiar face at UM-Dearborn for over 16 years, bringing a wealth of experience and a lot of heart to the College of Business. After starting her career in the fast-paced financial services world, she found her true calling in higher education—helping students navigate the "how-tos" of college life with accuracy and care.

What inspired her to work here?

As a first-generation UM-Dearborn alumna, Lori hasn't forgotten what it’s like to feel a bit overwhelmed by the college experience. She remembers navigating it all on her own, which is why she’s so passionate about being the guide she wished she had back then. Whether she’s advising students, collaborating with the Student Services team, or serving on the Staff Senate and MHealthy committees, Lori is all about making our campus community feel like home.
