Magali Valero, Ph.D.

Magali Valero, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Finance at the University of Michigan-Dearborn College of Business. Prior to joining the College of Business in 2004, Professor Valero earned a M.S. degree in Economics and a Ph.D. in Financial Economics from Arizona State University. While at UM-Dearborn, she has taught courses in international finance, investments, microeconomics and managerial economics.

Research

Dr. Valero's research interests include foreign firms’ cross-listings, international initial public offerings, analyst recommendations around the world, and the financial and economic development of emerging markets. She has published her research in journals such as the Journal of Business Research and European Financial Management, among others. She is also the recipient of a best paper award for her research work.
