Patricia Graybeal, Ph.D., Lecturer of Accounting at the University of Michigan-Dearborn College of Business. Professor Graybeal received her Master’s and Ph.D. from Virginia Tech. Dr. Graybeal joined the faculty in August 2009. She has also served on the faculty of Wake Forest University, George Mason University and Virginia Tech. Her primary teaching interest is financial accounting with particular emphasis on Advanced Accounting, Governmental Accounting and IFRS.
Professor Graybeal has been at the forefront of IFRS in academia and is a co-author on one of the most widely used publications for incorporating IFRS into Intermediate Accounting. She has also made numerous academic and non-academic presentations on IFRS. Professor Graybeal has published articles in the areas of IFRS, executive compensation, bankruptcy prediction, legislative tax incentives as well as pedagogical issues in journals such asContemporary Accounting Research, Journal of Business, Finance and Accounting and Internal Auditing. She has consulted on projects including IFRS conversion, and financial and market analyses for venture capital and e-business firms

Awards and Recognition
While at Virginia Tech, Professor Graybeal received the 2009 Pamplin College of Business Excellence in Teaching and Holtzman Outstanding Educator awards. She also received the 2005 Philip A. Blanchard Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Education at George Mason University.
