Biography and Education

Shunyao (Cynthia) Jin is an Assistant Professor of Accounting at the University of Michigan-Dearborn College of Business. Dr. Jin holds a Ph.D. in Accounting and Information Systems from Michigan State University and Master’s degrees from University of Michigan-Ann Arbor. Prior to pursuing her doctoral studies, she worked at the Ross School of Business providing empirical research consultations in Accounting and Finance.

At Dearborn College of Business, Dr. Jin teaches undergraduate and graduate Auditing and Assurance Services courses. She has previously taught Intermediate Financial Accounting and Principles of Financial Accounting at Michigan State University Broad College of Business.
