Susanne Gassel, M.A., Higher Education

Susanne started her career in higher education as a student worker in CASL Advising from 2003-2004. Upon finishing her degree in International Studies and French Studies, with a minor in History, Susanne attended the University of Michigan for her masters in Higher Education. While in grad school, she returned to CASL Advising, first as an intern, then as a part-time temporary advisor. She was hired full-time as an academic advisor in January 2008 after graduation. In May 2016, she became a Senior Advisor in START, helping to launch the first new advising office on campus in many years. She is excited to return to CASL Advising as the Associate Director, and looks forward to working with CASL students, faculty, and staff.
