Tahsine Bazzi

Tahsine Bazzi, (B.A. in educational Psychology from the Lebanese University) is currently an Adjunct Lecturer in Arabic at the University of Michigan Dearborn and Student Services and Community Liaison at Fordson High School, where he, among other things, actively works with staff, students, and community members to promote involvement in educational issues, and enhance students’ academic potential.

He is a former chairperson of the Arabic Bilingual Advisory Council, and was instrumental in the development of Lebanese Teachers Association, which he presided over. He has designed and conducted seminars for classroom teachers aimed at improving academic enrichment of the students, and has taught seminars for teaching French as a Second Language. Prior to embarking on the path of educational psychology, Mr. Bazzi pursued a law degree at the Lebanese University.

Mr. Bazzi’s areas of academic and research interest include Arabic literature and poetry, teaching Arabic as a second language, enhancing bilingual education, and the development and application of classroom teaching methods.
