Van Hai Bui, PhD

Dr. Van-Hai Bui: He received his B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Hanoi University of Science
and Technology, Vietnam, in 2013, and his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Incheon National
University, South Korea, in 2020. He was an Assistant Professor at the Department of Electrical
Engineering, State University of New York (SUNY), Maritime College, USA, from 2022 to 2023. Since
August 2023, he has been appointed as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and
Computer Engineering at the University of Michigan-Dearborn, USA. His research interests include
energy management systems, applications of machine learning in smart grids, and operation & control
of power and energy systems.
