With years of experience in higher education, and a Ph. D degree in Modern languages and cultures (French major and Arabic minor), I developed a deep understanding about French literature from the XVIth century, the renaissance, until modern and post-modern time. My work focuses on francophone issues, specifically the political and social meaning of being Francophone today with examples from the Middle East, North Africa and French Caribbean writers and with a special attention to feminine writing. My experience in teaching French and Arabic at different levels (Basic, Intermediate and Professional) helped me establish solid teaching inclusive and engaging methods. I am a writer and freelance journalist too.
