Biography and Education

Ilir Miteza is a Professor of Economics and currently serves as Associate Provost for Graduate, Global and Digital Education. His research interests are mainly in international macroeconomics, with a focus on the economics of exchange rates. Dr. Miteza has also published research in monetary economics and international macroeconomic issues for developing countries and economies in transition. He has recently served as Associate Dean in the College of Arts, Sciences, and Letters. Prior to joining the University of Michigan-Dearborn in 2001, Dr. Miteza held senior economist positions at the Central Bank of Albania’s Monetary Policy Department, and Issue and Treasure Department.
