Biography and Education

Lee S. Redding, Ph.D., Associate Dean, Chair of Accounting and Finance Department, and Associate Professor of Business Economics at the University of Michigan-Dearborn College of Business. Dr. Redding's undergraduate work was completed at The University of Michigan-Ann Arbor and he has a Ph.D. from Princeton University. Professor Redding is also a CFA Charter holder. Prior to joining the College of Business in 2001, he taught at Fordham University in New York City and the University of Glasgow in Scotland.

Research

Dr. Redding’s research interests include corporate financial policy, money markets, liquidity in the financial markets, and government policy as it relates to fixed income securities.

Professor Redding has published articles in a number of refereed journals including the Journal of Financial Intermediation, the Canadian Journal of Economics, Economics Letters, the Scottish Journal of Political Economy, the Journal of Economics and Management Strategy, and the Journal of Policy Reform. Dr. Redding has also done applied work, including the University of Michigan-Dearborn Innovation Index and economic impact reports for Detroit Metropolitan Airport (2013) and Willow Run Airport (2014).
