Our graduate certificate in systems engineering at UM-Dearborn is designed for engineers and other professionals who are responsible for defining, planning, managing, and supporting large integrated systems. The program seeks to enhance both your technical competencies and your management skills.

Earning the certificate provides you professional development as a systems engineer, a valuable credential that is recognized across industries, and evidence of your commitment to personal development. It also provides a strong foundation to pursue Project Management Professional certification and certification from the International Council on Systems Engineering.

You can take all five courses for the 15-credit certificate in person, online, or a combination of both. 

Pathway to a Master's Degree

Admission Requirements

  • An undergraduate degree in engineering, business, a physical science, computer science or applied mathematics with a cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher is required.
  • Taken a probability and statistics course.
  • There are no required prerequisites or standardized test scores for admission.
