Meet My First-Year Admissions Counselors
The University of Michigan-Dearborn admissions team is here to answer any questions you might have about the application process, academic programs, financial aid options and campus life. After you submit your application, we welcome you to schedule a one-on-one appointment.

Schedule a One-on-One Appointment
To connect with an admissions counselor, you first need to create an account. Here’s how to get started.
- Go to the Admissions Navigator
Click the Sign Up button. - Enter Your Information
Provide your preferred first name, last name, and email address. Then, select the “I’m not a robot” checkbox and click Submit. - Check Your Email
You will receive an email with the subject line “UM-Dearborn’s Online Application Username and Password Setup.” Open the email and click the link to set your new password. - Reset Your Password
On the password reset page, click Reset Password. - Create Your New Password
Enter your new password (must include both letters and numbers) and confirm it by entering it again. Then, click Save. - Log In to the Admissions Navigator
Once your password is saved, you will be automatically logged in.
- Go to the Admissions Navigator
Click the Sign In button. - Enter Your Information
Enter the email address and password you used to sign up for your account (instructions listed above), then click Submit. - Locate the “Meet with an Undergraduate Admissions Counselor” Section
Select the option that applies to your student type and academic college. - Answer Prompts on the Appointment Scheduler
Complete the prompts that ask for your Program, Purpose of Meeting, and preferred Appointment Mode (In-Person or Virtual). - Select an Available Appointment Time
Based on availability displayed on the calendar, select the time that works best for you, and confirm the appointment. - Check Your Email for Confirmation
A confirmation email with appointment details will be sent to the email used to login.
