Spring Commencement

Tickets Distribution Process

  • Students that have registered for commencement and have not yet picked up tickets must do so by Friday, April 21, at 5 pm, from the One Stop, 1145 Renick University Center.
  • Remote students and students unable to come to campus for their tickets by April 21 may have them placed in Will Call, to be picked up on the day of the ceremony, by emailing Kris Day at, by 5 pm on Friday, April 21.
  • All tickets not picked up or placed in Will Call by April 21, 5 pm, will be redistributed.
Extra Tickets:
  • There are NO extra tickets available for the 5 pm (COB/CECS) ceremony.
  • 2 extra tickets are available on a first come, first served basis, for the 9 am (graduate/doctoral) and 1 pm (CASL/CEHHS) ceremonies. Tickets may be picked up beginning Monday, April 24, at 8 am, from the One Stop.
One Stop hours:

Monday-Wednesday and Friday - 8 am - 5 pm

Thursday - 8 am - 7 pm

Information about Commencement Ceremony

  • Commencement ceremonies will be held on Sunday, April 30, 2023.
  • There will be three ceremonies.
    • 9 AM - all students receiving a graduate or doctoral degree
    • 1 PM – all CASL and CEHHS undergraduates 
    • 5 PM – all CECS and COB undergraduates 
  • All April 2023 degree candidates, as well as August 2023 prospective degree candidates, are eligible to participate in the Spring 2023 ceremonies. 
  • Students MUST register for a commencement ceremony. This is a separate action from applying to graduate. Please complete the commencement registration form. Registrations MUST be received by March 31. 
  • Each student will receive 4 tickets to the 9 AM ceremony. Each student will receive 5 tickets to the 1 PM and 5 PM ceremonies. Students do not need a ticket to the ceremony. 
  • All ceremonies will be held inside the UM-Dearborn Fieldhouse. 
  • Each ceremony is expected to last approximately 90 minutes. 
  • All ceremonies will be livestreamed on UM-Dearborn’s  Facebook or YouTube channels.
