Community Garden Volunteer Days
Join Dearborn Support, the Planet Blue Ambassadors, and partnering orgs in helping grow fresh produce for the Student Food Pantry! Volunteer with us during the fall season to help tend to carrots, garlic, buttercrunch lettuce, and so much more! During the academic year, we will be hosting Collective Volunteer Days on Mondays from 10:00am to 12:00pm through September and until November 18, depending on the weather. We set two hour blocks aside to accommodate people's schedules, so you do not have to stay the entire time and can drop by whenever it makes sense for you.
No prior gardening experience required. Equipment and snacks provided. This is an excellent opportunity in-between classes and hectic schedules to meet new people, learn more about gardening, decompress, and deepen your connection with nature.
Location: Meet at Plots #12 & #5 at the UM-D Community Organic Garden (Here is a link to a map of where to find it on campus)

We recommend you bring:
🥕 Close-toed shoes and clothes you are comfortable gardening in (try to avoid wearing any fuzzy materials that weeds may stick to)
🥬 Water bottle
🌻 Snacks (we will supply snacks, but feel free to bring anything you like)
