Community Garden Volunteer Days

Friday, August 30, 2024
10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Join Dearborn Support, Engaged Scholars, Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS), Student Sustainability Coalition (SSC), and the Planet Blue Ambassadors in helping grow fresh fruits and veggies for the Student Food Pantry! We have tomatoes, green beans, zucchini, King North peppers, marigolds, sunflowers, cabbage, and green onions–and are planning on growing so much more, but we will need some help! No prior gardening experience is required, and snacks and equipment are provided.

During the summer, we will be holding Collective Volunteer Days from 3-5pm on Mondays on the first and third weeks of the month, and 10am-12pm on Fridays on the second and fourth weeks of the month. If you have some extra downtime this summer, attending one or more of these sessions is an excellent opportunity to meet new people, learn more about gardening, destress, and deepen your connection with nature.

Location: Meet at Plots #12 & #5 at the UM-D Community Organic Garden
